The Chief Engineer would oversee the development at a vehicle level of the entire program, to include all subcomponents like avionics, electronics, mechanical and pyrotechnic mechanisms, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have experience at a vehicle level with similar space/launch vehicle programs and have tackled problems that exist when work is completed in house at the sub-component level, rather than contracting work out. The client is looking for an Engineer who can assist with maturation planning that allows for proper sequencing, and someone who is familiar with the pain points these type of mechanical structure have - with the goal of steering the team to quick evaluation of risk instead of analysis paralysis. This will be a key responsibility that the Chief Engineer will own - requirement interpretation and pushback, ensuring proper program delivery. The ideal candidate will be someone with 10-15 yrs+ of experience in the industry and is eager to be a active problem solver - both technically and programmatically.165K-225K.
