Ex. you work in office 50% and when travelling, you may work M-F or Tu-Sat 10-12 hour shifts at different customer plant locations within the US, with a variety of days, nights, and weekends. Training will be implemented on the job, with other engineers for 6 months - 1 year (about 2 hours of OT/ week), before being assigned individual cases year 2 (up to 20 hours OT/week + comp days). Rental car and mileage is paid for. The position has a good mix of in and out of office, and offers a base salary + Overtime of 2-20 hours a week, hazard pay and comp days model. There is much room for advancement (prior Field Engineers have grown into roles such as Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, Global Service Manager, Quality Control Manager, General Manager, and Compressor Expert).
