Manages portfolio to sound credit quality, overall portfolio return, client retention, and relationship banking.Grows a self-sourced portfolio of commercial loans. Minimum annual targets will vary based on the bankers specialty (e.g. 1-to-4, CRE, C&I or general) and the team engaged to support the Director, with minimum targets for Directors of Commercial Banking generally ranging from $18MM to $30MM. In addition to growth, Directors of Commercial Banking are responsible for maintaining an existing portfolio while usually relying on other team members to facilitate newly originated loans. Responsible for ensuring that clients entire banking relationship needs are met by making introductions to our experts in private banking, treasury management, deposit products and other applicable bank products.Under the direction of a Chief Commercial Lending Officer, leads and develops a team of Commercial Bankers to ensure each is meeting their individual production and service goals. Attracts, develops, and retains Commercial Banking associates to ensure Banks strategic goals are met.Solicits, analyzes, structures, risk rates, presents for approval, negotiates, and coordinates the documentation of commercial loan requests with assistance from associate commercial bankers, support colleagues, and the credit department.Manages pipeline reporting and calling program using Salesforce.Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the six Pillars of Success.Maintains client information in complete confidence.Completes other specified duties as assigned. Regular attendance required, working at the assigned worksite, or assigned remote location during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.Day to Day:As a Director of Commercial Banking, you will be leading a team of commercial lenders to grow and manage business relationships in a specific region. You'll help your team provide excellent service to clients, develop new business opportunities, and offer various bank products like loans and treasury management services. You'll also analyze and structure new loans, create plans to attract new clients, and ensure the overall growth and profitability of your team. Additionally, you'll represent the bank in the community and work closely with other departments to meet clients' needs.
