The Vice President of Information Systems plays a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the organization?s technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, cybersecurity protocols, and... regulatory compliance efforts. This leader ensures that all systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the company?s strategic direction. The role demands a blend of technical proficiency, visionary leadership, and a strong understanding of compliance requirements. Primary duties will include formulating and implementing a long-term strategy for IT systems, encompassing infrastructure, security, and compliance and partnering with senior executives to ensure technology initiatives support broader organizational goals. This leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining thorough security policies and procedures. They will guide initiatives related to identifying threats, managing security incidents, and educating staff on cybersecurity best practices to foster a secure organizational environment. The Vice President will ensure that all IT operations comply with applicable industry standards and legal regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, and NIST. They will coordinate internal and external audits and implement necessary changes to meet compliance requirements. Additionally, they will maintain detailed documentation and reporting to support regulatory obligations. The Vice President will manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
