This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 times in office at our clients West Loop downtown Chicago office location.Core Responsibilities include:1.Financial Management and Reporting ?Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. ?Lead multi-site initiatives.?Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts in accordance with accounting standards.?Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, gross margin, cost per shipment, warehouse productivity, and sales pipeline. ?Partner with operations leadership to proactively address capacity planning, order flow, and continuous improvement initiatives.?Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions with assigned accounts.2.Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis?Lead monthly performance reviews, annual budgeting, and periodic forecasting processes. ?Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management. ?Partner with operations leadership to proactively address capacity planning, order flow, and continuous improvement initiatives.?Support long-term financial planning and capital expenditure analysis. 3.Pricing, Costing & Profitability ?Develop financial models for new customers, contracts, and warehouse operations.?Analyze customer profitability by account, service, lane, and contract. ?Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead Lean/CI participation.?Track KPIs including order accuracy, on-time performance, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction scores.?Utilize WMS and BI tools to provide data-driven recommendations for service improvements and growth opportunities.4.Team Leadership?Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. ?Manage, coach, and develop financial staff/direct reports, building site leaders, not just task executors?Create development plans.
