This person will be responsible for traveling to client sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems across the DMV, a lot of work in Sterling, Manassas, Leesburg.RELO PROVIDED UP TO 10K Job Description: Performing commissioning/testing at data centers, commercial buildings, 3 letter agenciesDriving directly from their home to the site everyday - Provided a company vehicle, gas card, a laptop, cell phone, company credit card, Home Depot credit cardShift time - 6am- 2pm. Up to 10-hour days sometimes.Shifts from 8-10 hours is overtime. Maintain, test, repair, and replace electrical equipment like switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformersSupervise and mentor Trainees, Assistants, and Technicians.Ensure consistent testing and track project completion.Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test cable installations.Calibrate and test relays, motor control centers, and generator controls.Commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations.Sample and interpret insulated fluids.Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, including arc-flash and shock analyses.Review and submit timecards, expenses, and project reports.
