Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; determine root causes and corrective actions.? Maintain schedules for crane lubrication, service wire rope systems, boom hoist assemblies, undercarriage components, system pressure, flow, temperature, and fluid sampling programs.? Utilize mechanical and hydraulic schematics to pinpoint failures.? Report unsafe conditions, defects, or potential failures.? Troubleshoot load indication, limit switches, and control systems on friction and hydraulic cranes.? Conduct pre-operation inspections and assist operators with technical support.? Accurately complete service reports, inspection forms, and work orders.? Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and supervisors? This role provides hands-on support for public safety systems?including CAD/RMS, mobile applications, and alerting platforms?while also maintaining and troubleshooting technology in police, fire, and... EMS vehicles such as MDTs, modems/routers, docking stations, and in-car cameras. The technician delivers Tier 2 desktop support for municipal employees, covering Windows, Microsoft 365, VPN, and peripheral issues across multiple city locations. Additional responsibilities include device imaging and deployment using tools like SCCM or Intune, maintaining documentation and asset records, performing basic networking troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors for escalations, and supporting technology onboarding and equipment refreshes.
