Insight Global is seeking a qualified Senior Network Engineer in support of one of our clients in Chesapeake, VA. This candidate will be responsible for finalizing the design and implementation of a... BGP network that will serve as the backbone of an ISP. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:- Initiate and manage relationships with external vendors to support infrastructure deployment and maintenance.- Maintain continuous system oversight, ensuring operational status remains optimal. Investigate and resolve issues promptly when alerts (e.g., red status indicators) arise, including dispatching appropriate technical resources.- Partner with internal teams to architect network solutions, supervise implementation, and recommend enhancements for performance and scalability.- Lead the construction and configuration of network systems, including WAN optimization for public utility applications.- Engage directly with hardware and base station installations, contributing hands-on expertise to support cellular infrastructure initiatives.- Support the deployment of smart city technologies, focusing on solutions that enhance public works and safety?such as intelligent systems for railroad crossings and emergency response coordination.Compensation: $50.50/hr. to $56.50/hr.
