In this role, the estimator will review high-volume RFQs, analyze aerospace blueprints, and determine manufacturability based on part geometry, tolerances, materials, and special-process requirements. They will develop machining strategies, select appropriate equipment and process steps, and calculate cycle times using speeds/feeds, chip load, and engineering judgment. This individual will request and compare quotes for material and outside processing, input and manage RFQs within the ERP system, and participate in internal quote-review discussions to determine which parts the business will pursue. The estimator will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and account management to ensure quotes are competitive, accurate, and operationally achievable.
