The successful candidate will oversee a team of 4 junior Civil design engineers supporting the design aspects of military projects.Responsibilities: Collaborate with architects and engineers to prepare civil design plans. Ensure designs comply with land use, access, and military guidelines. Participate in pre-bid meetings, prepare addenda, respond to contractor questions, and provide construction support. Manage a range of projects, including barracks, military bases buildings, roadways, runways, and taxiways. Coordinate multiple disciplines, track budgets, schedules, and mentor a team of 4-8 staff members. Create scope, schedule, and budget for military projects. Understand military terms like base of construction, military form 1391 or 1290 for funding. Financial management of all projects, with a design budget of $25-50M. Design RFPs, shop drawings, and conduct site visits.Additional Skills and Experience: Experience or military background with federal military contracts (15+ projects).
