Establish and regularly update succession plans for key skills to avoid single points of failure and bottlenecks in resource allocation. - Ensure the team?s skills remain at the forefront of techniques in their respective engineering, manufacturing, and support service disciplines. - Ensure staff work in an environment that fosters innovation and growth to maximize job satisfaction within business constraints, supporting career planning, providing regular feedback, and celebrating achievements. - Oversee the facilities, processes, and engineering tools required to support departmental activities and program needs. - Identify and manage facility conflicts across all programs for flight or development activities, as needed by the department. - Support the management of the department?s indirect cost budget within allocation limits and provide forecasts to the finance department as needed. - Support capital planning coordination for the department.
