The successful candidate will lead a team consisting of a GitLab Platform Engineer, Terraform Cloud Engineer, and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), providing day-to-day direction, prioritization, mentorship, and oversight of platform operations. Reporting to the Technology Manager, North America, you will drive platform reliability, automation, security, and developer enablement while supporting the adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities - Lead and mentor a team of Platform Engineers responsible for GitLab SaaS, Terraform Cloud, and Site Reliability Engineering functions. - Own the strategy, governance, and operational management of GitLab SaaS and Terraform Cloud platforms. - Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), GitOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering best practices across the organization. - Oversee platform reliability, observability, security, access management, and compliance with SSDLC standards. - Champion AI-assisted engineering workflows and automation initiatives that improve productivity and operational efficiency. - Establish platform standards, documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities. - Analyze platform performance and identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
