Job Description

Job Overview:
This position is a functional lead across both CRM implementations, responsible for:
- Translating business needs into a clean, structured CRM (how data, relationships, and processes are set up)
- Designing how different groups (students, parents, donors, etc.) are organized and connected
- Leading the day-to-day implementation from a functional perspective while working alongside an internal architect and developer
- Defining data migration approach and ensuring data is clean, accurate, and usable
- Standardizing processes that are currently manual or spreadsheet-driven into structured workflows within the CRM
- Supporting testing, user validation, and go-live readiness

This person will support two concurrent CRM implementations within LMU - School of Education (SOE) and Student Affairs. This role is focused on functional design, data modeling, and driving implementation execution within an internal ITS-led delivery model. The consultant will translate business requirements into scalable CRM solutions, ensuring alignment across data, workflows, and user needs, while collaborating closely with internal architects and developers (no hands-on development required).

Day to Day:
• Lead functional implementation across two parallel Dynamics 365 CRM projects
• Translate business requirements into CRM data models (entities, relationships, workflows)
• Define lifecycle processes (SOE contact management and Student–Parent relationship model)
• Partner with Solution Architect and internal developers to validate design and configuration
• Define workstreams, priorities, and delivery timelines across both initiatives
• Oversee data migration efforts (mapping, cleansing, deduplication, validation) for SOE
• Support integration validation (not development), including UAT and data verification
• Design CRM-driven workflows to replace manual and decentralized processes
• Establish data governance, security models, and role-based access frameworks
• Lead UAT planning, execution, and business validation
• Ensure go-live readiness and transition to operations
• Create functional documentation, data governance standards, and support knowledge transfer

Less of a technical build role and more of a data-focused and process-focused consultant who can design how the CRM should work and guide the implementation end-to-end.
