Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to join an enterprise healthcare client focused on a consumer application called Health 100. Join a growing analytics-focused engineering team supporting this multi-year strategic initiative that brings all your healthcare needs and insights to one place. This role will focus on building and scaling data platforms, pipelines, and services that power analytical products for internal and external clients. This application is particularly focused on providing B2B insights, mainly for few a clients in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The environment is fast-paced, growing, and centered around greenfield development efforts. New requirements are continuously being added, fueling the need for additional engineers. This is expected to be a long term, multi-year engagement.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines from the ground up.
• Develop data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Execute assigned user stories in sprint cycles and proactively contribute to requests.
• Build scalable data engineering solutions to support analytics and insights use cases.
• Work across multiple projects and quickly adapt to new technologies and requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders in an agile squad model.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Python and SQL.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines from scratch.
• Experience with cloud-based data engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar technologies.
• Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP or other major cloud platforms.
• Ability to work independently and own assigned projects in an agile environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PySpark.
• GCP
• Experience supporting API development and data delivery solutions.
• Background in analytical or insights-driven data engineering environments.
• Experience supporting software or feature development initiatives.
• Passion for identifying and building workflow efficiencies with AI technologies.
