Insight Global is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support a mining and mineral exploration company at their Yukon camp site on a 3 month contract. This is a fly in/out position, 4 weeks on with... 2 weeks off. The shift is 12 hours per day, 7 days per week while at site. There is a potential for night shift two weeks of the four. You will also be responsible for operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and related equipment when mechanical duties are not needed. You will be responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and camp support assets at the Yukon camp. This role reports to the Lead Equipment Mechanic and supports the maintenance, downtime, and reliability tracking program. Key Responsibilities:? Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and camp support equipment. ? Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues. ? Accurately record maintenance work performed, parts used, and rework status as directed by the Lead Mechanic. ? Participate in downtime event documentation and root cause identification. ? Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all site safety standards. ?
