A large Retail customer is seeking a Director of Real Estate Development to join their team. This team is dedicated to accelerate company strategy by finding new sites, opening new stores, relocating... strong ones, rebuilding older ones, optimizing our existing network across North America. You will be supporting these goals through managing your team of Development Managers (5). You will also be responsible for communicating, coordinating, and building support with our regional and operations teams, marketing teams, fuels teams, our construction team, and related internal and external stakeholders. The team does have a number of projects that are in flight that will require attention (approval stage through opening phase) and ownership of those projects as well as continuing to build the pipeline through sourcing new deals will be expected. This is a net new position due to Company growth and will be absorbing a team of 5 managers. The first 60-90 days would be spent integrating into the role, team, evaluating the team environment and bandwidth to determine any necessary growth or trainings.
