A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter with at least 2 years of experience to join their team in the Orlando, Florida area. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in... 2D AutoCAD, holds a CAD certification (or related education), and has experience supporting engineering projects within utilities, power, or civil environments.This individual will play a key role in developing and maintaining construction standards documentation and supporting the creation of a specification (spec) book and engineering manual. They will sit onsite in office 5 days a week and will occasionally meet with clients.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and update detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings to support engineering and construction standards- Assist in the creation and maintenance of construction specification books and technical standards documentation- Work closely under a Principal Engineer to translate requirements into standardized documentation and drawings- Interpret engineering direction and convert it into clear, organized CAD deliverables- Support permitting efforts by preparing plan drawings for submission to local jurisdictions- Read, interpret, and replicate roadway plans, civil site plans, and construction drawings- Coordinate with internal teams and occasionally meet with clients to clarify requirements and project scope- Ensure drawings and documentation align with established standards and guidelinesWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
