Job SummaryAs a Field Service Technician in the Grid Technology Services ? Substation Upgrades division, you?ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage... substations. This includes monitoring, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as providing on-site technical support. The role involves extensive travel, irregular work hours, and close collaboration with internal teams, customers, and contractors. You?ll be on-site three days a week for 10-hour shifts and on call with a 1?2-hour emergency response time. Day to Day responsibilities: ?Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on substation equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs.?Monitor SCADA systems, respond to alarms, and write/execute switching orders as needed.?Travel to substation sites for switching operations and emergency support.?Document work using digital tools, including service reports and time/expense logs.?Coordinate with utility operators, contractors, and engineering teams to align schedules and responses.?Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support emergency response readiness.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
