In the event of a Youth Care Workers absence, Youth Care Workers substitute to ensure continuity of care. They help youth complete their treatment plan goals, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the program site, and assist youth with daily life skills, education, and chores. Travel to other shelters may be required as needed. Youth Care Workers complete documentation as per policy, attend all required staff meetings and trainings, and report any suspected child or elder abuse and neglect according to guidelines. Maintaining professional relationships with external parties is crucial, as is ensuring program compliance with all funding and licensing procedures.
