Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a large-scale, multi year data center campus development. This role will be primarily on-site field based and responsible for day to day onsite oversight, with a strong emphasis on managing and monitoring the General Contractor (GC) and ensuring work is executed in accordance with owner standards, schedule, safety, and quality expectations.
The APM will act as the owner’s eyes and ears in the field, helping drive execution while coordinating closely with the senior PM and broader internal stakeholder teams.
This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional with data center, mission critical, or regulated construction experience who is looking to grow within owner’s side program management.
Field & GC Oversight
• Provide daily onsite presence to monitor construction activities across assigned scopes and phases.
• Oversee and interface directly with the General Contractor and key subcontractors, ensuring adherence to approved plans, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Verify construction activities align with owner standards, specifications, and safety protocols.
• Identify field issues early and support resolution in coordination with the PM.
Schedule, Quality & Progress Monitoring
• Track daily and weekly construction progress against the master schedule.
• Review short-interval plans, look ahead schedules, and work sequencing with the GC.
• Assist in monitoring quality inspections, punch lists, and corrective actions.
• Support audits, inspections, and formal acceptance activities.
Coordination & Reporting
• Support coordination between construction teams, design partners, commissioning, and operations stakeholders.
• Prepare field reports, daily logs, photos, and status updates for leadership.
• Assist with review of RFIs, submittals, and change requests from a constructability and schedule impact perspective.
• Escalate risks, delays, or non conforming work to the ORPM in a timely manner.
Safety & Compliance
• Observe and reinforce site safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Participate in safety walks, toolbox talks, and incident follow ups as needed.
• Ensure compliance with permitting, inspections, and jurisdictional requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8+ years of experience in construction project management or project engineering roles.
• Prior experience on data center, mission critical, critical infrastructure, or highly technical construction projects preferred.
• Strong experience supporting or overseeing General Contractors on active construction sites.
• Solid understanding of:
o Commercial construction sequencing and site operations
o Schedule tracking and progress reporting
o Quality control and inspection processes
o Safety requirements in regulated environments
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, multi phase construction environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to be onsite full time in Council Hill, OK.
