Job Description
This specialty insurance company is looking for a Full-stack Developer with AI experience to join a newly formed pilot team building premium accounting applications. The developer will focus heavily on both backend (C#.Net) and frontend (React) development while also reviewing and validating Claude Code generated source and doc files for quality and standards. The application will ingest bank statements via SAFE file transfers, process emails via Document Intelligence for remittance data, build a remitter database to map account details to internal entities, and apply cash payments to open balances in our policy admin systems.
The system will act as an 8-tiered cascading matching engine to apply invoice balances, integrate with an external payment provider portal, and support a single unified accounting layer. The team is developing in Azure, with Azure Cloud Functions as a core requirement, and will use Claude Code and GitHub’s Spec Kit to design, review, and generate initial prototypes. This role will review AI-generated specs and code, ensure adherence to standards, and hand off validated builds to QA as part of a structured pipeline.
An excellent candidate is a strong C# and TypeScript (JavaScript) engineer with Azure Cloud experience who is comfortable identifying bugs, reviewing AI-generated code, and influencing best practices across both front-end and back-end systems. They should have knowledge of context engineering, spec-driven development (Spec-kit), and proper AI development methods.

Insurance industry or general accounting experience (nice to have, not required)
Hands-on experience with Insurance software from Vertafore / AIM / IMS / ConceptOne, including ConceptOne premium accounting endpoints
