They build advanced autonomous mobile robots that are transforming how freight and logistics... operations work, with a core focus on automating trailer loading and unloading to improve speed, safety, and consistency across the supply chain.As the company continues to scale rapidly, they?re adding a Staff Mechanical Engineer to their core engineering organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned hands-on engineer who will own the mechanical design strategy for their flagship robotic systems. You?ll lead the end-to-end development of complex hardware?from early concept and prototyping through high-volume manufacturing?while serving as a technical leader across programs and influencing the long-term mechanical roadmap of the platform.Responsibilities? Own mechanical architecture decisions and lead the design of key subsystems for autonomous mobile robots.? Serve as the technical lead across multidisciplinary teams to ensure mechanical, electrical, and software integration.? Spearhead the design and deployment of new hardware capabilities for cargo handling and storage on and above the robot platform.? Lead the transition from prototype to production, developing scalable, cost-effective, and reliable systems.? Identify and solve critical electromechanical reliability challenges in real-world operating environments.?
