This individual will lead this critical project from its initial stages, organizing meetings, tracking and mitigating risks, and maintaining project documentation while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. Excellent communication skills are required as you will beinteracting with various dynamic teams. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of IT project management experience, a proven track record with implementing third-party solutions, and strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with Visio or similar tools and working in an Agile environment is required. A bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field is necessary. Experience in the insurance sector and familiarity with underwriting software are preferred. This is a remote position that has the potential to convert to permanent employment. The target pay rate for this position is between $55-60/hr and is based on experience. This person will be in the field 75% of the time, executing on projects. They will spend 2 weeks in the field and 4 weeks of prep prior for every project including; planning and coordinate with procurement, supply chain, install vendors, safety and operation teams to get people aligned to execute. Average project is 4-6 weeks and each PM will own 2-3 projects at a time. More complex projects will last 2-3 months. We are looking for people who can support & the commissioning of automation systems, ability to read through specs, hold 3rd party vendors accountable to the appropriate install guidelines. The ideal candidate, has an engineering background within automation, controls, industrial or electrical work and has managed projects similar in nature. The average schedule will include travel Monday - Friday; occasional weekends - if required you may need to stay to oversee the resolution of an issue. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the maintenance of BMS systems through site-by-site projects.You will coordinate with local site personnel and vendors when onsite presence is required, manage the submission and approval of work orders and Method of Procedures (MOPs), and field questions from vendors for Requests for Information (RFIs). Additionally, you will catalog new and existing risks and handle any escalations within the operations or IT organizations.Building BMS maintenance projects are expected to last indefinitely.
