Insight Global is looking for a Service & Repair Engineer to work for a large Medical Technology company and must be local to Irvine, CA. Join our fast-paced aerospace team as a Systems Engineer! We're seeking a talented individual to backfill a critical, urgent role focused on advanced system modeling for our innovative Surveillance... products. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to runway collision avoidance technology on Airbus aircraft, utilizing your expertise in aerospace systems and MATLAB.Responsibilities:? Develop and iterate on complex system models, primarily using MATLAB, to simulate millions of real-world scenarios for runway collision avoidance.? Analyze and incorporate data from sources like the FAA to validate system performance.? Collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate models with formal software.? Participate in verification and validation testing as projects transition from design to formal testing phases.? Contribute to the full development lifecycle of aerospace products, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards.What Success Looks Like (Initial 3 Months):Weeks 1-3: Rapidly acclimate to our environment, tools, and project functionality by shadowing team members.Weeks 3-4: Begin hands-on work, manipulating existing models.Months 2-3: Independently make changes to models, run formal test cases, and actively contribute to project development.Team Structure: This role resides within the design and requirements team, with opportunities to transition to verification and validation as projects evolve.
