The Principal Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is responsible for the administration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic IRIS databases to ensure data integrity, system... stability, security, and high performance across all Epic environments. This role works closely with application teams, developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support Epic operations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives in a healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform core Epic database administration functions, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IRIS databasesSupport Epic upgrades, environment refreshes, and routine system health checksManage database performance, security, and data integrity across multiple Epic environments (Production, Test, Training, etc.)Collaborate with Epic application teams and technical partners to quickly resolve system and performance issuesExecute, document, and follow standard change management proceduresProvide proactive recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and environment stabilityTest, validate, and document disaster recovery and business continuity proceduresMaintain accurate operational documentation and runbooksWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
