Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their architecture framework.Sustain the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment.Respond to network connectivity issues and resolve any wireless communication issues.Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors.Design, configure, and install various network devices and services, from routing, switching, and firewalls, etc. Analyze anticipated bandwidth consumption for new clients. Insight Global is looking for a System Administrator III specialized in Splunk, for a government contract. These individuals will be working on a military base doing all network and system support... for all of the Air Force.The day to day is as follows:-Design, deploy, configure, and manage Splunk clustered infrastructure on RHEL, including Splunk indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.-Administering Splunk Apps to include developing new or extending existing Apps to perform specialized functionality.-Develop and implement strategies for efficient data ingestion, parsing, and indexing, ensuring availability and optimal performance of Splunk data repositories.-Consulting with teams to customize searches, reports, dashboards and configure Splunk to meet their requirements.-Create and maintain documentation detailing architecture components, configurations, monitoring & alerting setup, troubleshooting guides, and checklists.-Implement and maintain security controls, and data protection measures in line with best practices and DISA STIG requirements.-Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.-Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
