This role includes performing end-to-end fiber terminations on cable assemblies ranging from approximately 4 to 50 feet in length, utilizing connectors and termini such as LC, ST, and SC connectors, as well as Pintermini (Size 2 ARINC-style), Mighty Mouse, and 2A rank termini. The technician will support high-volume production efforts by building complex kits, including U.S. Navy test kits that may contain 40 or more cables per kit, while maintaining strict adherence to Military Standards. Responsibilities also include conducting in-process and final optical testing using approved test equipment, accurately documenting test results such as IOLM traces and light source and power meter readings, and supporting the electrical department during peak production periods as needed.
