Insight Global is looking for a Certified Welding Inspector for a large engineering consulting firm in the North Charleston, SC area. Construction Inspectors spend their day conducting on-site... inspections to ensure work meets building codes, project specifications, and construction drawings. They evaluate multiple disciplines?such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, and fireproofing?using visual checks, physical measurements, and field testing to verify conformance. Inspectors document all observations, prepare detailed inspection reports, and perform basic data analysis before submitting findings. Throughout the day, they communicate results to project managers, engineers, and other personnel, and may collaborate on resolving issues. They also support senior inspectors when needed, maintain and calibrate their equipment, and travel between sites in a work vehicle.
