Insight Global is seeking to hire a full time RF Field Service Technician supporting an international electronics group specializing in the fields of electronic test equipment, broadcast & media,... More cybersecurity, radio monitoring, radio relocating, and radiocommunication. This individual will be sitting in the following location, close to a major airport: Atlanta, GA. This individual will be tasked out to conduct on-site or in-house repair of equipment, diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs for clients based on a ticketing system. The type of equipment this individual will be servicing and installing are new, state of the art airport security scanners (QPS). They will receive a field delivery schedule as well as independently schedule themselves. This position requires 80% travel out of the state for 1-2 days per stay. The travel will be expensed. When this individual is not traveling, they will be working remotely and troubleshooting remotely. It will be the employees responsibility to accurately prepare daily logs and reports of work performed, including hours spent and inventory used for each assignment. The work orders contain a multitude of information such as prints, customer information, and the details on all the facilities that were installed in that particular job. After reviewing the information associated with the job, the technician captures the design in the client's GIS Software. The GIS Software we use is called SmallWorld, which is similar to ArcGIS in the sense that it is still a mapping system, but the interface itself is slightly different. Smallworld GIS is a geospatial platform that is used to model complex networks, manage data quality, design and record network assets. We provide all new hires training to learn SmallWorld since it is not widely known. On a day to day, the GIS tech is responsible for completing a set of jobs that meet the client's quota. A new GIS tech always begins on the simplest form of work and as they develop their skills they will progressively be given more difficult work types.
