This role supports a ~$100M capital project running now through mechanical completion in Q3 next year. The primary focus is cost control, with responsibility for building and maturing the project... cost management approach, not just maintaining existing tools. The individual will work closely with multiple contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders and will be expected to confidently represent the project?s financial position to leadership.The hiring manager is open to process improvement and system recommendations and will consider candidates strong enough to eventually present directly to leadership.Own project cost control for a medium-to-large capital project environment.Build and maintain cost control processes where current systems are immature.Integrate cost data originating from SAP, managing and reconciling through Excel-based tools (with opportunity to recommend improvements).Manage and track contractor and vendor cost inputs across a wide supplier base.Support schedule integration alongside project schedulers aligned to a baseline schedule.Prepare and deliver accurate cost reporting for project leadership.Assertively manage vendors and contractors, clearly stating and holding project positions.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
