Insight Global is looking for a BIM Digital Designer to join a US top 10 engineering client in Denver, CO. This individual will be joining the Industrial group, supporting the oil and gas discipline... specifically. The Designer will be responsible for preparing mechanical drawings and performing mechanical design of piping systems for utility, industrial and power facilities using AutoCAD, CADworx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, Navisworks, and LiDAR. Other duties include- ?Generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope?Prepare site layout drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment arrangements, piping isometrics and orthographic drawings, composite arrangement drawings, bills-of-material, lists, sketches, section views, and other detailed drawings required for construction under limited guidance of a senior mechanical designer or engineer.?Coordinate with engineers and designers of other disciplines like electrical, structural, and civil design practices throughout the course of the project. Coordinate with the client on any questions regarding 3DThis is a 6-month contract-to-hire where the candidate will convert into a full-time employee with the client, assuming good performance on the contract. That said, this individual needs to be looking for a long term fit within a company. There is opportunity to grow into Lead/Management roles if desired. The office in located in Denver, CO and it will be a hybrid schedule working in the office 3-4 days to start the first few weeks and then flexibility afterwards to come in when desired, assuming you are a self-sufficient individual.
