The Staff Accountant will be responsible for all activity and transactions surrounding general ledger and lease accounting. This includes recording all month-end close journal entries and completing... More balance sheet reconciliations (including inventory and prepaid entries). They will also be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of lease amendments, new leases, and any other data points for tracking. They will prepare all financial information and supporting schedules that relate to lease accounting entries for both internal and external reporting in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Staff Accountant will maintain and enhance accounting procedures and internal control systems. They will be completing data requests for external auditors. They will also perform other ad-hoc special projects/analyses. This organization opens 25-30 stores every year so there will consistently be new accouting work. They will maintain corporate compliance with Secretary of States in 20+ states. This person will work closely with the Assistant Controller and will self-manage their daily tasks and activities.
