Work with outside engineering firms, consultants, vendors and equipment manufacturers. ? Create standard substation engineering designs to include the design of steel structures, foundations, clearances, layout drawings, grounding, oil containment, lightning protection, schematics, and wiring diagrams. ? Evaluate equipment ratings, requirements, and project schedules to facilitate the accurate ordering of equipment to support project in service dates. ? Prepare bills-of-material for the development of material lists to support standard designs. ? Prepare accurate project cost estimates. ? Provide engineering support to employees to assist in their learning of standards, procedures, designs, and specifications. ?
