The primary purpose of this position is to acquire artifact free polysomnographic recordings that can be interpreted by a physician. This technologist also will educate patients on possible disorders... and treatments. This technologist will compile a report after each study is completed that summarizes the sequence of events during the sleep study. The technologist will intervene during the recording if needed, to correct technical problems or if the patient is in need.ResponsibilitiesEngages in population appropriate communication.Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.
