Maintain technical oversight of all HV, MV, and LV electrical systems. ? Review and update one-line diagrams, protection settings, breaker coordination studies, and arc-flash analyses. ? Approve electrical switching procedures and ensure proper documentation of all electrical work.Reliability and Engineering Strategy ? Develop the electrical reliability strategy, including maintenance planning, equipment lifecycle management, and system redundancy considerations. ? Lead root-cause analysis for electrical events and oversee corrective and preventive actions. ? Monitor electrical system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Operational Support and Procedures ? Create and approve MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for normal operations, maintenance, and emergency scenarios. ? Provide escalation support during incidents, alarms, and outages. ? Work with monitoring, controls, and operations teams to refine alarming thresholds and trending for electrical assets.Maintenance and Vendor Oversight ? Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical equipment. ? Oversee NETA testing, relay testing, breaker maintenance, IR scanning, and other specialized services. ? Evaluate vendor scopes of work and ensure service quality and adherence to SLAs.Projects, Upgrades, and Commissioning ? Support electrical design review for capital projects, upgrades, and reliability enhancements. ? Participate in commissioning and integrated systems testing to validate electrical performance and operational readiness. ? Ensure project documentation and as-builts are complete and accurate.Compliance and Documentation ? Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E/70B, IEEE, OSHA, and state electrical codes. ? Maintain accurate records of electrical testing, maintenance activities, design changes, and event investigations. ? The QS partners closely with construction, procurement, engineering, and scheduling teams to support cost control, change management, and commercial risk mitigation throughout the lifecycle of the project.Key Responsibilities? Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of the data center?from early concept through IFC (Issued for Construction) design packages.? Produce cost models factoring in mission-critical equipment (switchgear, UPS, generators, cooling equipment, prefabricated assemblies, conduit/cable, etc.).? Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs using drawings, BIM models, and specifications.? Develop and maintain the overall project cost plan and cash-flow forecasts.? Track committed costs, actuals, accruals, and cost-to-complete.? Provide weekly and monthly cost status reporting to the project team and leadership.? Identify cost trends early and recommend corrective actions.? Assist in creating bid packages and evaluating contractor proposals for all major trades (MEP, civil, structural, electrical systems, commissioning firms, prefabrication partners).? Validate contractor progress, quantities installed, and field-reported material consumption.? Perform onsite quantity verifications in coordination with field teams.? Identify commercial and financial risks early and elevate mitigation strategies.? Produce clear, data-driven reports summarizing cost exposures, overruns, value-engineering opportunities, and procurement status.? Support compliance with internal cost governance and audit processes.? Work closely with project managers, construction managers, schedulers, design engineers, and the logistics/materials teams.? Participate in weekly commercial and construction coordination meetings.? This role does require in-person office time in the Toledo, OH area, however there is some limited remote work flexibility. We can offer a salary of $125,000 to $170,000 plus performance bonuses for this opportunity.
