Your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with network operations, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to implement and fine-tune Cisco firewall configurations. You'll be analyzing existing Palo Alto setupsreviewing policies, rules, and security protocolsand translating them into Cisco equivalents while ensuring alignment with the organizations security standards. Post-migration, you'll provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of the new firewall environment. You'll also be responsible for creating detailed technical documentation outlining configuration steps, migration procedures, and network topology. Additionally, you'll participate in audits and risk assessments, assist the cybersecurity team with post-migration vulnerability testing, and help mentor junior engineers on Cisco technologies and best practices. This role can pay between $40/hr - $50/hr. These include diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, addressing Wi-Fi outages, and managing incidents involving site-wide downtime. The role requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols to ensure timely and effective resolution of service disruptions. The ideal candidate will monitor and manage a queue of tickets and handle all network related tickets, handle escalations, and delegate if workload is high. This candidate will support anywhere from one to eight tickets per day, with resolution time depending on the severity of the issue. Additionally, this person will manage firewall requests, validate requests, and close the request within approximately two weeks. Lastly, this person will address any and all other related network issues as they arise, such as slow wireless connections or connectivity problems. He or She will be working onsite Monday-Thursday and work from home on Fridays - half day.
