Insight Global is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a leading Energy company located in Houston, TX. The person in this role will join a team of four, responsible for supporting US... national code compliance across various cross-functional Data Center specific product development engineering teams. This role involves ensuring adherence to standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and UL. The Electrical Engineer will undertake engineering design, calculations, and sizing for electrical equipment including switchgears, circuit breakers, ATS, UPS, transformers, generators, MCC, distribution panels, switch racks, grounding systems, and electrical heat tracing. Focusing primarily on low voltage (up to 1000 volts) for power generation support, they will produce and review drawing deliverables, such as single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, motor schematics, grounding plans, lighting plans, cable and conduit routing plans, cable tray plans, cable and conduit schedules, panel schedules, area classifications, instrumentation plans, loop diagrams, DCS & PLC wiring diagrams, interconnecting wiring diagrams, network diagrams, elevations, and details.
