More AI-assisted development tools and can independently take ownership of complex backend work from concept through production.While the team?s current backend stack includes Golang and AWS, we are far more focused on system design strength, scale experience, and AI fluency than on any single programming language.This is a senior individual contributor role, partnering closely with the team lead and helping take architectural and design work off their plate.Own backend features and services end-to-end for customer-facing mobile applicationsDesign and build high-throughput, scalable backend systems (language-agnostic: Go, Java, etc.)Partner with Product, QA, and Frontend teams in an agile environment (2-week sprints)Take work that is not fully sliced into detailed tickets and drive it from concept to deliveryParticipate in system design discussions and lead exploration for new features, returning with clear recommendationsReview pull requests and collaborate with 3 other backend engineersActively work through backlog items including new features and technical debtParticipate in a light on-call rotation (approximately one week per month) to support production systemsMust be willing to work EST hours Compensation: $70/hr to $80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
