Based on equipment counts and deployment plans provided by project managers, you will determine appropriate room sizing, power requirements, and physical layout, ensuring the infrastructure can safely and reliably support current and future needs. You will own the end-to-end technical specifications for compute rooms, including electrical load calculations, power outlet and breaker requirements, UPS sizing and redundancy, and cooling strategies. This includes recommending the number and type of UPS units, working with vendors to validate calculations, and defining HVAC requirements such as tonnage, placement, and power needs for both traditional and in-row cooling solutions. You will translate global compute guidelines into clear, site-specific requirements, acting as the primary voice of global standards for U.S. and Canada locations.On a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with general contractors and trade partners, guiding them on how infrastructure should be installed and validating that construction aligns with approved designs. You will produce detailed technical documentation that enables project managers to execute and track progress with vendors. As sites move through construction and remodel phases, you will periodically travel onsite to review architectural plans, walk facilities, and confirm that the physical infrastructure matches the approved specifications, providing clear acceptance or correction guidance when needed.
