The role involves producing rough and finish ground splines, spur, and helical gears.... Key Responsibilities: -Machine Setup and Operation: Follow specific instructions to set up and operate gear-grinding machines and associated wheel dress and balancing equipment. -Tool and Equipment Handling: Use various hand tools, gauges, and dial indicators to install involute cams, yokes, arbors, and workpieces. -Optical Equipment Use: Present wheel dresser tools, balance and dress wheels as required, and indicate workpieces between bench centers prior to loading the grinder. -Quality Assurance: Check and record workpiece pitch and root diameters before grinding, monitor machine operations, and inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality. -Inspection and Documentation: Visually inspect parts for finish, root profile, and signs of surface burn or tempering. Maintain records of all finish dimensions and obtain inspection acceptance of finished parts.
