As a QA Analyst (Functional) for Insight Global, you will collaborate in testing efforts for a critical B2B payment web application, focusing on functional testing with Selenium initially and... transitioning to automation testing in Testim. Your role involves developing, executing, and managing manual and automated test scripts for UI and API layers, building a tiered regression suite, and implementing load, web performance, and security testing. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, use Postman for API testing, SQL Server for Oracle DB validation, and manage issues in Jira with Zephyr. Additionally, you will utilize GitLab for CI/CD processes, ensuring thorough coverage and reliability of the application.In this position, you will be responsible for defining an overall test strategy and establishing testing best practices for the team. You will spend 2 out of 5 days on test automation tools, transitioning from Selenium to Testim, and conduct functional testing, focusing on web app & database testing (90%) and API testing (10-20%). Your day-to-day activities will include executing manual and automated test scripts, maintaining and executing regression tests, performing load testing, web performance testing, and security testing, and participating in team meetings to provide feedback and collaborate with software engineers, product owners, UX designers, and other stakeholders.
