The Condo Desk Specialist supports the mortgage underwriting process by managing condominium project documentation, coordinating with HOAs and insurance agents, and ensuring compliance with agency... guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA). This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience reviewing non-warrantable condo projects is essential.Key Responsibilities:Pipeline Management:Monitor the Condo Desk pipeline and ensure timely processing of requests. Order HOA documents within 24 hours of request and follow up if not received within 48 hours.Communication & Coordination:Respond to inquiries from branches within 1?2 hours via email or phone. Liaise with HOAs and insurance agents to obtain necessary documentation, relieving branches of this responsibility.Documentation Review:Use tools like CPM (Condo Project Manager) and CPA (Condominium Project Approval) to determine required documentation before ordering. Review project documentation for eligibility and compliance.Compliance & Eligibility:Ensure projects meet Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines. Maintain approved/declined project lists and manage expiration dates.Evaluate non-warrantable condo projects for risk and eligibility based on investor overlays and company policy.Customer Service:Provide excellent service to internal teams including loan officers, processors, and underwriters. Communicate clearly about project status and additional documentation needs.Administrative Support:Maintain organized records of project files and correspondence.
