Job Summary:A large OEM in Saginaw, MI is looking for an Industrial Engineer/Project Timer to support manufacturing operations by combining industrial engineering execution with project timing and... launch wall coordination, driving productivity, labor planning, ergonomics, throughput improvement, and standardized work while maintaining the master project timing plan and launch status reporting. This role also acts as a cross-functional link between production, manufacturing engineering, launch leadership, and functional section owners to ensure timing updates, issues, and countermeasures are visible and actionable.Responsibilities:Industrial engineering?Develop labor plans, HPU, standard time data, and manpower balancing for manufacturing operations.?Analyze current operations and identify cost-justified improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.?Support line balance, throughput analysis, layout development, and material flow optimization.?Perform ergonomic reviews and operation validations to ensure safe and efficient work methods.?Coordinate updates to standardized work, JES, and related operating documentation.Project timing / launch wall?Maintain control of the MS Project plan and Master Dot for the program or department.?Coordinate timing and percent-complete updates from functional section owners and designated resources.?Post updated launch wall files and supporting documentation for launch team review.?Present the virtual wall and supporting documentation during wall review meetings.?Archive electronic timing versions and maintain revision discipline for program tracking.?Distribute meeting notices and agendas for launch wall reviews and related timing meetings.Key deliverables?Accurate and current project timing plan with routine updates from all functional areas.?Launch wall status reporting that highlights activities to start, activities to close, and red/yellow countermeasures.?Balanced labor plans, standard time data, and productivity improvement recommendations.?Updated standardized work and validation documentation supporting safe, quality-focused execution.Compensation Starting At: $35/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
