Material Flow Optimization: Analyze current-state material movement from receiving through shipping to identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste using lean tools such as value-stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams, time studies, and line balancing.? Material Handling Systems: Design, select, and implement efficient material handling methods and equipment, including AGVs/AMRs, tugger routes, forklifts, flow racks, point-of-use storage, and ergonomic dunnage/packaging solutions.? Process & Layout Improvements: Support plant layout changes, new product launches, and workstation redesigns by defining optimal material presentation, replenishment strategies, and supermarket structures.? Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in kaizen events focused on improving internal logistics, material flow, ergonomics, and delivery accuracy. Drive standard work development and visual management improvements.? Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with Production, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve material flow issues, implement system changes, and ensure smooth operational execution.? The site operates two of the largest production friction (Koepe) hoists currently in service, requiring senior level Engineer oversight.
