Our client is looking for a Project Manager to help manage network infrastructure installation projects across Los Angeles Unified School District. There are about 750 schools within the district... that require upgrades across 7 core components: LAN, WLAN, Fiber Optic Cabling, VoIP, Public Address Systems, Camera Systems, and Physical Intrusion Systems. The LAN platforms that are leveraged across these components include HP/Aruba, Alcatel and Cisco. The goal of these projects is to upgrade outdated technology. This project manager will be assisting in project scheduling, managing project deliverables and requirements, and reporting and tracking. The projects will consist of all phases of upgrade/construction activities including but not limited to;: Design, Installation/Configuration Quality Assurance and Final Closeout. This role provides deep electrical expertise, supports cross-functional design efforts, and ensures that electrical considerations are fully integrated into product development. The Principal EE plays a key role in evaluating requirements, guiding design decisions, developing test methodologies, and resolving complex technical issues across the organization.This position is hands-on, collaborative, and central to maintaining electrical engineering excellence within a team where electrical expertise is limited.Essential FunctionsElectrical Technical Leadership? Serve as the primary electrical engineering resource for a multidisciplinary team, providing expert input during design discussions, reviews, and troubleshooting.? Guide Mechanical Engineers on electrical design intent to ensure proper integration into electro-mechanical assemblies.? Provide high-level technical insight to support sound engineering decisions across programs.Requirements Analysis & Feasibility? Review customer requirements to determine electrical feasibility, identify risks, and recommend alternative approaches.? Support test execution and assist the Test Lab in troubleshooting and interpreting results using advanced measurement tools.? Produce complete and accurate engineering documentation, including schematics, BOMs, compliance matrices, and technical reports.R&D, Troubleshooting, & Continuous Improvement? Lead R&D efforts to enhance existing products or develop new capabilities based on customer needs and emerging technologies.? Serve as a key technical resource when issues arise during design, build, or testing phases.? Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for complex electrical or system-level issues.?
