This is a net new position they are adding to the team to help them with the enhancements, maintenance, and development of their internal business applications. This person will work on a team of 3 other people in which they are more on the administrative side. This position will be the sole database developer on this team, focused on the application side. This person will be responsible for tier 2 and tier 3 database support, helping to write new stuff while giving input on what to modify on existing applications as well as give advice on where they can do rewrites. This position will be cross collaborative as well, since they will be working and communicating with the software development team to design new database objects. A lot of this job will also include performance testing, although the amount will vary.
