Job Description
As a Tech Lead for the Java / Spring Boot and Oracle PL/SQL workstreams, you will serve as a senior technical authority on Insight Global's clients Entitlements Management System (EMS) team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding both back-end application development and complex data migration efforts supporting Emerson’s new centralized EMS platform. You will lead and mentor a pod of developers across Java/Spring Boot and Oracle PL/SQL disciplines, conduct first-pass code reviews, and drive technical quality across integrations, APIs, and data pipelines. This role requires strong full‑stack backend judgment, deep database expertise, and the ability to operate independently during non‑overlap hours with the US team.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (flexible based on experience)
• 6+ years of experience across back-end Java development and Oracle database/PL/SQL
• Proven hands-on technical leadership experience (active contributor — not purely managerial)
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and multithreading
• Advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise (stored procedures, packages, performance tuning)
• Experience with complex data migrations and enterprise system integrations
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience
• Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Salesforce integration experience (optional — not required)
• Snowflake and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) experience
• AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Docker/Kubernetes and Azure deployment experience (Argo is a plus)
• Experience working in international or distributed team environments
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers in a structured pod model
