The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be part of acollaborative team of designers that prepare submittal... More and field installation drawings, hydraulic calculations, and submittal data for fire protection systems based on the requirements set by NFPA code standards, the International Building Code (IBC), and the Local Authority or fire marshal. These individuals will be expected to become proficient at designing fire suppression systems, and detailing shop drawings including field installation drawings & hydraulic calculations. They will also oversee jobsite support & field installation support. They will manage project scheduling and are expected to keep projects on schedule. More Process Mechanical team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as private sector industrial facility projects, with the primary purpose of creating sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. You will specifically support the PSG (Private Sector Group), that specializes in support of high-tech industries including but not limited to Semiconductor, Oil and Gas, and Data Center. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including drafting, design, checking, and both 2D and 3D drawings. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need to be proficient in Revit. This person will need a general understanding of BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves and equipment, preferably with some knowledge of Navisworks Manage. Piping design skills, including an understanding of spacing, pipe racks, a variety of piping materials, and clash free designs is preferred. This role will be a 6-month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. This role can pay anywhere between $35-$55/hr, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate.
