A premier Energy Company in Houston is seeking an IT Trader Desktop Support Engineer. In this role, you will provide immediate, in-person IT floor support to Trading and Front Office users, resolving... real-time issues to minimize business and financial impact. You will act as a local focal point and escalation resource, serving as a trusted ?go-to? technician within the trading environment. Day to day, you will troubleshoot Windows operating systems, PC hardware, networking issues, Microsoft 365 applications, Exchange, and Active Directory. You will support trading-specific tools, analytics platforms, external market data services, online trading systems, and bespoke in-house applications critical to trading operations. All incidents and service requests will be logged and tracked in ServiceNow, with coordination required across global service desks, application operations teams, enterprise IT teams, and vendors as needed.As an Engineer you will help mentor and onboard new permanent and contract staff, providing guidance and technical leadership on the trading floor. You will maintain strong working relationships with traders, front-office commercial users, IT partners, and management. You will support local software and hardware deployments, upgrades, and rollouts in alignment with enterprise standards. The role includes participation in regional business continuity and disaster recovery exercises to ensure operational readiness. Throughout your work, you will identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and workflows, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that better support the trading business.This person must be OK sitting onsite in Downtown, Houston 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).
