Some responsibilities of the Civil Design Engineer I/II will include but are not limited to:- Assist with grading, utility, and improvement plans.- Prepare estimates for quantities and costs of materials.- Analyze surveys, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.- Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations.- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and standards.- Assist in the preparation of hydrology reports, water quality management studies, SWPPS, water and sewer studies, emras, and other needed engineering documents and exhibits.- Assist in the design of energy efficient or environmentally sound civil structures.- Lead and support interns and CAD techs on projects.LOCATION:- This person will sit onsite 5 days per week in the 92131 zip codeSCHEDULE:- Monday - Thursday: 9 hour shifts (typically 7am start time)- Fridays: half days IMPORTANT TO NOTE:- This candidate will have the opportunity to have their voice heard and make a real impact at the company, as it is a smaller sized company.
